Eligibility and How to Enter

  1. The ANZ “Good Sports Netball Grant” Promotion (the “Promotion”) commences at 9.00am on 18 May 2020 with the last time for submitting applications being 11.59pm on 21 June 2020 (the “Promotion Period”).
  2. Entry is open to any person who is aged 16 years or over on 01 January 2020 and residing in New Zealand (the "Participant").
  3. Any team or club that has applied for an ANZ Grant before is still eligible for this promotion.
  4. By participating entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  5. The Promotion provides an opportunity for participants to submit an application to ANZ Courtside for a grant to help buy netball related items, services and/or funding to help clubs and teams get back to the game of Netball. It is at ANZ’s sole discretion the form in which the grant will be made. For example; if the application is for 10 netballs ANZ may choose to buy the netballs.
  6. To make an application, participants must complete the online application form available through the ANZ Courtside website (anzcourtside.co.nz). Applications must include a statement of less than 500 words setting out the reason for the application and why it deserves a grant. Applications can be supported by submitting photos or a video. Instructions on uploading these with the application are available and form part of the application form.
  7. Applications containing any offensive or inappropriate content, in the opinion of the Promoter, will not be approved for publication on the ANZ Courtside website.
  8. Participants may only submit one application per club or team and the applicant must be authorised, by their club or team to make the application on its behalf.
  9. False, misleading or inappropriate applications will be disqualified.
  10. he following entries shall be deemed invalid:
    1. Incomprehensible or incomplete entries;
    2. any entries that infringe the intellectual property right of third parties or that are plagiarised; or
    3. any entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions.
      All entries become the property of the Promoter.

The Application Process

  1. A panel of ANZ Courtside appointed judges will review all applications that are eligible for consideration for a grant, throughout the Promotion Period. The judges will assess the merits of each application and select the successful applications. Any grants awarded will be at the discretion of the panel of ANZ Courtside appointed judges.
  2. ANZ Courtside reserves the right to change the Promotion terms and conditions, as well as the nature, period, scope and any details or elements of the Promotion, or cancel the Promotion at any time, by giving notice to the participants via email or through published information on the ANZ Courtside website.
  3. Applicants that have been awarded a grant will also be contacted by the Promoter via the contact details provided in the application form. In the event that the Promoter is unable to contact a successful applicant after three attempts, that applicant will forfeit the grant and the judges will select another successful application in their place.
  4. The Promoter’s decision and the decision of the judges is final on all matters relating to the Promotion including applications, the nature of any contributions awarded, the successful winners and their delivery. No correspondence will be entered into.
  5. In the event a successful application’s position has changed, or in the opinion of the Promoter the reasons for the grant are no longer necessary in any way, the Promoter reserves the right to reassess grant or cancel the grant.
  6. Grants are not transferrable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash except as determined by the Promoter.

Successful Applicant’s Obligations

  1. All applicants agree to be identified by name with their application. Successful applicants may be required to attend a presentation ceremony and agree to any print, TV, social media, or promotion personnel covering the Promotion to photograph, interview and report on the Promotion. This is at ANZ’s sole discretion. By claiming a grant, applicants agree to the Promoter making use of their name(s) and/or photographs for publicity purposes as determined by the Promoter. Agreement to this shall entitle ANZ to unrestricted use of the images and video footage and rights to distribute, exhibit, license and use the material in any manner whatsoever.

Privacy

  1. Personal information received from applicants will be held securely by the Promoter and used only in relation to the administration of the Promotion.
  2. The information that you provide to enter this promotion will be held by ANZ and will be used for the purposes of administering the promotion. This will include disclosure to any third party who have been engaged by the Promoter to manage the promotion. You have the right to access and correct personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. A copy of ANZ’s privacy policy is available from https://www.anz.co.nz/
  3. Applicants have the right to access and may change or update personal details, such as change of email address by visiting the ANZ Courtside website (www.anzcourtside.co.nz ) and entering the “Contact Us” section or emailing ANZ Courtside on info@anzcourtside.co.nz

Liability

  1. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damages or injury (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained arising out of or in connection with the Promotion, the taking or using of any grant, or any act or omission (whether negligent or not) of the Promoter or any of their associated agencies, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  2. Without limiting the foregoing, the Promoter assumes no responsibility for, and applicants release the Promoter from, any loss, claim, damage or injury to any person or property if, for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control (e.g. due to computer viruses, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures etc) this Promotion is not able to be conducted as planned and/or the Promotion’s administration, security, fairness or integrity are corrupted or affected. In such circumstances, the Promoter may modify or suspend the Promotion and/or invalidate any applications of any individual in any way involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of the Promotion or abusing the communication system upon which the Promotion is being conducted.
  3. Where goods or services are supplied by third parties, the Promoter does not warrant the quality of those goods and/or services or the suitability for a particular circumstance. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes liability for any loss suffered as a result of the use of those goods and/or services.
  4. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry as a direct or indirect result of a technical problem or any kind or internet malfunction. Entries are deemed to have been received at the time of receipt of transmission into the ANZ Courtside website database, not the time of transmission by the applicant.
  5. These terms and conditions are to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.

"Promoter" means ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited.
