ANZ ‘Netball Grants’ Terms & Conditions 2022
Eligibility and How to Enter
- The ANZ “Netball Grant Promotion” (the “Promotion”) commences at 9.00am on 28 March 2022 with the last day for submitting applications being Friday 01 July 2022 (the “Promotion Period”).
- Entry is open to any person who is aged 16 years or over on 01 January 2022 and residing in New Zealand (a “Participant”).
- Participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- The Promotion provides an opportunity for players, club members, school staff members, students or netball fans to apply to ANZ for a grant of netball equipment and/or items to support the enjoyment and development of netball.
- To make an application, Participants must complete the online application form available through the ANZ Courtside website (anzcourtside.co.nz). Applications must include a statement of less than 500 words setting out the reason for and merits of the application.
- Applications are limited to one application per team.
- False, repeated, misleading or inappropriate applications will be disqualified and may also affect the validity of other applications lodged by or on behalf of related individuals, teams, groups or clubs. In addition, the following entries shall be deemed invalid:
- incomprehensible or incomplete entries;
- any entries that infringe the intellectual property right of third parties or that are plagiarised; or
- any entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
- All entries become the property of ANZ once submitted.
The Application Process
- A panel of judges appointed by ANZ will review all applications that are eligible for consideration under these Terms and Conditions from time to time, throughout the Promotion Period. The judges will assess the merits of each application in their discretion and will ultimately determine any successful applications, in whole or in part. Any grants awarded will be at the discretion of the panel of judges and ANZ.
- ANZ reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions, as well as the nature, period, scope and any details or elements of the Promotion or cancel the Promotion at any time, by giving notice to the Participants via email or through published information on the ANZ Courtside website.
- The names of grant recipients (and successful Participants) may be published on the ANZ Courtside website and may remain published until such time as ANZ elects to remove them.
- Participants that have been awarded a grant will be contacted by ANZ via the contact details provided in the application form. In the event that ANZ is unable to contact a successful Participant after three attempts, that Participant will forfeit the grant and the judges will select another successful application in their place.
- ANZ’s decision and the decision of the judges is final on all matters relating the Promotion including applications, whether and the extent to which any grants are awarded, the successful Participants and how and when grants are delivered. No correspondence will be entered into.
- In the event that a successful application is later altered or, in the opinion of ANZ, unnecessary in any way, ANZ reserves the right to reassess that grant, seek further assurances or amend the grant in its absolute discretion.
- Grants are not transferrable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash except as determined by ANZ.
Privacy
- The successful Participants (and/or representatives from the recipient) may also be required to attend a presentation ceremony and agree to any print, TV or social media or promotion personnel covering the Promotion to photograph, interview and report on the Promotion accordingly, as ANZ in its discretion determines reasonable. By claiming a grant, Participants agree to ANZ making use of their name(s) and/or photographs for publicity purposes as determined by ANZ.
- Other than as set out above in relation to publishing names of successful Participants and recipients, personal information received from Participants will be held securely by ANZ and used only in relation to the administration of the Promotion (which may include disclosure to agents of ANZ for the purpose of administering the Promotion).
- Participants have the right to access and may change or update personal details, such as change of email address or change of application details by visiting the Contact Us section of the ANZ Courtside website.
Liability
- ANZ and its related bodies corporate shall not be liable for any loss damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly out of or in connection with the Promotion, the taking of any grant, or any act or omission of ANZ or its associated agencies, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- Without limiting the foregoing, ANZ assumes no responsibility for, and Participants release ANZ from, any loss, claim, damage or injury to person or property if, for any reason beyond ANZ’s reasonable control (e.g. due to computer viruses, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures etc.), this Promotion is not able to be conducted as planned and/or ANZ’s administration, security, fairness or integrity are corrupted or affected. Further, in such circumstances, ANZ may modify or suspend the Promotion and/or invalidate any applications of any individual in any way involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of the Promotion or abusing the communication system upon which the Promotion is being conducted.
- Where third parties supply goods or services, ANZ does not warrant the quality of those goods and/or services or the suitability for a particular circumstance. To the extent permitted by law, ANZ excludes liability for any loss suffered as a result of the use of those goods and/or services.
- ANZ assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an application, including as a direct or indirect result of a technical problem or any kind or internet malfunction. Applications are deemed to have been received at the time of receipt of transmission into the ANZ Courtside website database, not the time of transmission by the applicant.
- These Terms and Conditions are to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.

ANZ ‘Local Legends’ Terms & Conditions 2021
Eligibility and How to Enter
- The ANZ “Local Legends” (the “Promotion”) commences at 9.00am on 12 April 2021 with the last day for submitting nominations being Monday 03 May 2021 (the “Promotion Period”).
- Participation in the Promotion is open to all New Zealand residents aged 16 and over on 01 January 2021 (a “Participant”). Any Participant aged under 16 on 01 January 2021 must obtain the consent of their parent or guardian to participate. Participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- The Promotion provides an opportunity for players, club members, school staff members, students or netball fans to nominate their Local Legend to ANZ for a grant up to a value of $15,000 that will enable the Local Legend to continue to support their netball communities, and the Local Legend will win a prize of $1,000 for themselves.
- To make a nomination, Participants must complete the online nomination form available through the ANZ Courtside website (anzcourtside.co.nz). Nominations must include a statement of less than 500 words setting out the reason for and merits of the nomination.
- False, repeated, misleading or inappropriate nominations will be disqualified and may also affect the validity of other nominations lodged by or on behalf of related individuals, teams, groups or clubs. In addition, the following entries shall be deemed invalid:
- incomprehensible or incomplete entries;
- any entries that infringe the intellectual property right of third parties or that are plagiarised; or
- any entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
- All entries become the property of ANZ once submitted.
The Nomination and Judging Process
- A panel of judges appointed by ANZ will review all nominations that are eligible for consideration under these Terms and Conditions, once the Promotion Period has closed. The judges will assess the merits of each nomination in their discretion and will ultimately determine one winner for each ANZ Premiership region (a total of six winners).
- Participants who have submitted a successful nomination will be contacted and requested to ask the nominee to contact ANZ directly if they wish to accept the grant and prize. In the event that ANZ is unable to contact a successful Participant after three attempts, or the nominee fails to contact ANZ within 14 daysor declines the grant and prize, that Participant and nominee will forfeit the grant and prize and the judges will select another Participant and nominee in their place.
- Once a nominee has confirmed to ANZ that they wish to accept the grant and prize, the winners’ names and clubs will be published on anzcourtside.co.nz.
- Any grants and prizes awarded will be at the discretion of the panel of judges and ANZ.
- ANZ reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions, as well as the nature, period, scope and any details or elements of the Promotion or cancel the Promotion at any time, by giving notice to the Participants via email or through published information on the ANZ Courtside website.

Eligibility
- Entry to the ANZ Future Captains Promotion (the “Promotion”) is open to all New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over as at Tuesday 09 March 2021
- Any person (the “Entrant”) may nominate a child aged between the ages of 8 and 12 (as at 01 March 2021) who is either a relative or close family friend of the Entrant (the “Nominee”). Entrants may enter as many times as they wish providing that each entry submitted contains a different Nominee. Multiple entries which are duplicates will result in all nominations by that Entrant being disqualified.
How to Enter
- The Promotion commences at midday on 18 March 2021 with the last date for Entries being 26 July 2021.
- To enter, Entrants will be required to fill in an online application form on the ANZ Courtside website. Entrants who are not the parent or legal guardian of the Nominee must also confirm that they have the authority of the parent or guardian of the Nominee to nominate the child and act as their chaperone in undertaking the prize experience.
- The following entries shall be deemed invalid:
- incomprehensible or incomplete entries;
- any entries that infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party or that are plagiarised;
- any entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions.
- By submitting an entry, Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions. ANZ may amend these terms and conditions at any time.
The Prize
- The ANZ Future Captains prize consists of up to 47 prize experiences. Each prize winner will receive the following for a single ANZ Premiership game:
- The chance to meet the team captains prior to the commencement of the game;
- Welcome the team players on court before the start of the game;
- ‘ANZ Future Captain’ kit to wear at the game for the Nominee and one other child;
- Four tickets to the allocated ANZ Premiership game – one for the Nominee, one for their friend and two for family members and/ or friends (at least one of which must be an adult over the age of 18).
- Prize winners will need to make their own way to the game. No travel or accommodation will be provided as part of the prize experience.
The Prize Draw
- Winners will be drawn throughout the 2021 ANZ Premiership season and at least 1 week before the selected game. The winners will be notified within 24 hours following the prize draw.
- Winners will be drawn from Entrants within a predetermined region relative to the venue and location of each game. Entrants will need to select their region, from a drop-down list, on the entry form.
- Entrants can only win one prize in this Promotion irrespective of the number of nominations they have submitted. If a prize-winning Entrant has another entry drawn as a prize winner, that entry will be deemed invalid and another winner will be drawn from all remaining entries received.
- Once eligibility of the Entrant and the Nominee has been confirmed by ANZ, the winning Entrant(s) will be contacted within 24 hours following the prize draw using the contact details provided on the entry form. If a prize winner cannot be contacted within this 24 hour period the prize experience will be forfeited and another prize winner will be drawn.
Prize winners’ obligations
- The prize is not transferable, except that if either of the winning Entrant or Nominee, for whatever reason, is unable to personally attend the selected game, the Entrant may contact ANZ within 24 hours of receipt of their prize winning notification, to request approval to transfer the prize to another person, detailing the names, contact details and relationship to the winners of their proposed replacement(s). ANZ at its sole discretion may accept any change to the details of the chaperone and the prize winner. In the event the details of replacement(s) are not provided or ANZ does not accept such a change, that Entrant's prize will be forfeited and another prize winner will be drawn from all remaining non-prize winning entries received.
- All ANZ Premiership tickets are issued subject to ticket terms and conditions ("Ticket Conditions") which apply to the possession and use of tickets. The winners of the prize will be required to comply with the Ticket Conditions.
- The prize winners will receive an itinerary once they have confirmed their participation in the prize experience, setting out meeting times, venue details and a game-day contact person for their allocated match. The prize winners must accept the conditions and commit to follow the instructions set out in the itinerary or otherwise notified by ANZ or the prize will be forfeited and another prize winner drawn from all remaining non-prize winning entries received.
- By claiming a prize, the prize winners consent to ANZ making use of their name(s) and/or photograph(s) for publicity purposes, including advertising, online (including the ANZ Courtside website) and social media use, as determined by ANZ. The Entrant confirms they have authority to provide this consent for themselves and the Nominee.
ANZ Obligations
- ANZ may substitute an alternative prize of equivalent value without notice in the event any prize or part of a prize becomes unavailable.
- ANZ assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry, including as a direct or indirect result of a technical problem of any kind or internet malfunction. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the ANZ Courtside website database, not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
- The decisions of ANZ are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Highlighting exactly the difference this help will make to you, your team, school, club or community will help judges assess the merit of your application.
- Impact: The judges are looking for applications where the delivery will have a lasting impact or legacy within a community, school or team or to an individual, or player.
- Supporting material: Making the effort to tell your story and explain why you need ANZ’s help, demonstrates your enthusiasm and commitment to making it happen.

Q: When can I apply for a grant?

Q: What does a grant consist of?
A: There are no restrictions on what you request. ANZ usually provides the specific item or support requested rather than a cash contribution towards an item. It could be big or small, benefit your entire community or just your family. A grant could be a renovation of your club’s courts, help with transport or even just some new gear for your team.
Q: How do you select the recipients?
A: Entries are viewed by a panel of judges. The judges take a number of criteria into consideration when selecting the recipients.
Q: When will the ANZ Netball Grants be delivered?
A: Between April and July 2022.
Q: Can I put in more than one application?
A: The judges will only deliver one grant per person or organisation. So if you are applying on behalf of a club, team or school, ensure you have the support of the officials from that organisation as multiple grants will not be delivered or replaced.
Q: Is there a cost limit for the help ANZ will give?
A: There is no specific price limit so we encourage you to tell us what help you need to make a difference.
Q: I have previously received help, assistance or a grant from ANZ. Can I apply for help this year?
A: We encourage you to still apply, however priority will be given to those who have not received a grant in the last two years.
Q: Will I be notified if my application isn’t successful?
A: No, you will only be notified if your application was successful.
